I am biologist working as a Postdoc Researcher in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the University of Bern. After my PhD in Spain, where I am from, I moved to the UK for a Postdoc stay which finally brought me to Bern.

My research is focused on the use of enzymes as biocatalysts to produce pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals in a more sustainable and cost-efficient manner.

During my PhD, I participated in science outreach activities such as Pint of Science and the Women in Science Day workshops for kids. Now in Switzerland, I have joined 500WS aiming to make science closer to the general society as well as to fight the current inequalities and biases. Apart from science, I am a chocolate lover and I enjoy hiking and travelling.
