I am currently a PhD Candidate at the Geography Institute at the University of Bern. I completed my earlier degrees in Geology in Canada. I came to Bern to continue my research with Antimony (an element "similar" to arsenic but less extensively studied) in soils. Most of my research focuses on contaminated sites including mining impacted areas in Canada and China, with some minor work in Swiss shooting ranges.

Im particularly interested in mobility of antimony, speciation (chemical forms), and biotransformation in the soil environment.

I joined the 500WS group in Bern as I am passionate about spreading awareness of female scientists and research, vocalizing inequalities and biases in STEM, and actively participating in creating a more fruitful future for all individuals in STEM.
